I’m a mama (writer, teacher, foodie, wife, lover of music, color and all things zen) who never, ever thought I was creative. Well, enter motherhood and I’m a completely changed woman. When I was pregnant with my daughter, my creative sparks began to explode. I reconnected with my love for photography in a way that helps create calm in my busy mama life AND I’m now a doodler (or shall I say, kid again!) who uses crayons, colored pencils and paints to disconnect from my hectic-to-do-list day that runs my thoughts on a daily basis. But most importantly, I’ve fallen in love with my camera, which helps me live a more calm and present mama life.
Because of my new relationship with my creative side (it’s taken me some time to get to this place!), I’ve created this space to document my days of learning photography all while trying to stay sane while living my new mama life. I’m a newbie in the photography world with a dream of taking it to a professional level one day. I consider myself a candid photographer (I think my journalism skills shine here) because I love those everyday moments. The authentic ones, ya know, the way life is happening around us in the moment, rather than set up with a smile, and I tell those moments right here with my "photography journey" story. Woohoo! Learn more about me.
