Hi...I'm Renee!

I'm a busy mom who uses mindless-creativity to easily calm my mind, ignite my joy + savor life. Learn more here.

Mommy Life!

Mommy Life!

Ah, the mommy life! Baby girl has a little bit of separation anxiety going on (which I read is totally normal at this age...whew!) and she also has a new tooth popping up.  So I'm running on very little sleep, which at times can make me a little grumpy.  I try to look at my grumpiness as a good thing.  My body is trying to tell me that I need to s-l-o-w d-o-w-n and take a break.

Most of the time I'm trying to catch up on whatever I can while she naps. You know...laundry, e-mail, websites, dishes, cleaning, working out, yoga, meditation, phone calls, taking Rusty out, and the list goes on and on.  It's amazing how many items are listed on my to-do list and how little time I have to get any of them done during nap time.  So when I get grumpy I have to stop, forget the to-do list (because it's not going anywhere) and just rest.  Does my mind want to do that?  NO!  Does my body?  YES!

So I think my -ing (inner guide), as Gabrielle Bernstein calls it, is speaking loud and clear.  Time to relax!

And, here's a great way to start! I took this picture at Animal Kingdom and it just screams relaxation to me.  Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite places at Disney World.  As soon as you walk in the music playing is so calming to me and walking around under the tree's....aaaah, I feel like I'm in a different world.

{life is relaxation...aaaaaaah!}
