{Inspire Me Monday} Recharge

Last week I had the fabulous opportunity to unplug from the technology world. And, boy, did I need it! Well, I wasn't 100% unplugged, but I'd say I was at least 80% unplugged.  It felt AWESOME!  My husbands aunt came in town for a week and we had a fabulous time!   (Oh, and my new word is fabulous!  Aunt Sibs says it a lot, and I totally caught on. Love it!)

Last week made me realize how important it is for me to disconnect from my laptop. I really wanted to be blogging.  I do love it, but at the same time, it was nice to just relax during the times I'd be online.  I went to bed earlier because I wasn't enthralled in everything I try to keep up with on the internet.

Even though I'm back today, I do feel like I could take another long break. Once I stepped away, I realized how much time is consumed in front of a lit up screen.  And, how it's not helping me truly nourish my self-care needs.

So here's what I'm inspiring myself to do (because of my fabulous ah-ha moment last week) is to take a few nights off from connecting online and do some relaxing activities before bed. Maybe take a hot bubble bath (it's been way too long), read the book that's waiting for me by my bedside, do some yoga stretches, go for a 10 minute walk, mediate, watch some mindless TV, massage my hands and feet with yummy smelling lotion, give myself a mani/pedi, or just do nothing at all.

I know that doing this will definitely help me recharge.

Wanna join me?  It will be fabulous! I promise!
