Because the week is filled with hectic schedules and not as much family time as I'd like, I love love LOVE to SAVOR our family togetherness and family moments that I LOVE through the lens on the weekends. This is the most special time because we're all together the entire weekend and being with my family (and capturing it all) is my number one passion of all. :)

This weekend, I savored (through my iphone lens), another weekend that D was working the entire time. Booooooo!!! But, good news!! After this Friday, we'll have him back all to ourselves. His trial will be OVER!! Woohoo!

These two have been hugging SO much these days. It's SO fun to watch!! I can't get enough!! :)

This past weekend was French Quarter Fest down in the city. It's our favorite fest!! Poor D didn't get to go at all because of his prepping for his trial, but his parents and his aunt came into town and I was able to go down on Thursday with them.

The food, the music and just the local NOLA flair is just SO SO fun! If you ever come to NOLA, this is the time to come. We think it's better than Jazz fest. :)

Saturday we all just hung around the house. The kids (and mama!!) needed the down time, so we spent the majority of the day outside. I just LOVE watching this guy climb the chair over and over again and then run off to go find more things to explore.

Then it was back to climbing the chair. As C says, "Seeeeee, told ya he climbs the chair over and over again!!" :)

I SAVORed all the different shades of green being displayed on the tree from the sun.

Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!! It's SO nice having the leaves back on the trees!!

When D came home around dinnertime, I took a much needed 20 minute nap. When I came back out, I saw my little guy dressed in his 6-12 months bathing suit that my friend sent us last year.

Oh my goodness!! Can't believe he still fits in it...maybe a little too tall, but oh man, SO stinkin' cute! LOL! I just followed him around and snapped away. I just had to SAVOR this!! :)

I was lucky that he actually stopped for a few moments. 'Cause, ya know, standing still for a moment...yeah, never happens!! :)

Then he had LOTS of FUN climbing into this pot. Our little blossoming tree! I can't call him a flower, right?? Boys aren't flowers...right?? :)

Sunday, after my in-laws left, C saw my flowers and she asked to have a few to put in her own cup/vase. Then she kept asking for more and more and more until she made her own little bouquet.

I just LOVED how she put it in her Halloween bucket! :)

While Luca napped, her and I headed outside and sat out there like this for about an hour. All comfy and cozy! :)

We got our Selfie Sunday in. I just followed her cue. LOL! :)

Then, while sitting in our chairs and looking up at the sky, C says, "Mom! Why are the clouds way up there? I can't reach them!"

Oh how I LOVE her 4-year-old self!!

While sitting for a little bit, a Cardinal flew right in front of us on our bird feeder. I told C, see what happens when you sit outside for a bit...it's amazing what you see!! Things that you can't see when you're running around all the time. It's good to slow down, sit and just watch for a bit. Breaks are good! ;)

And this morning, I couldn't help but SAVOR her sleepy sweetness before waking her for school.

Life isn't about continuing to move as fast as you can to get everything checked off your to-do list. Life's about allow time for living slow and truly BEing present with the ones you love and all the beautiful color that surrounds you. It's about SAVORing what means most to your heart.
