I AM So Ready To Rest + Create
Now that school is back in session I AM SO READY to REST + CREATE!!
I love love LOVE the slow mornings and the slow days with my kiddos but those slow days with my kiddos can also be very, VERY, exhausting because it leaves me with very little time for myself to REST (my body) + CREATE (calm my mind).
Both rejuvenate and energize me like no other!!
And both help me BE a better mom and wife! (Oh, it's so hard to be a “good mom” (and a good wife!) once the end of summer break rolls around because I’m lacking some serious alone time...#introvert!!...just call me snappy instead of Renée! Ha! But, so NOT good...at all!).
So yeah...once my kiddos get home today and I know they’ve had a GREAT second day of school I’ll be ready to get my creative spa time on!!
Because we’re a military family that moves A LOT...my mama mind and my mama emotions are fried.
I know in the end, our new area will bring us lots of inner growth and joy, but starting EVERYTHING over again IS exhausting because I worry about my kiddos SO much!!
I have a huge blog post coming on this!!
Which is exactly WHY it’s time for me to get back to my ultimate self-care routine of RESTing + CREATing!!
I can’t wait!!!
Because my mama mind is ready to calm all the crazy worry it has been filled with since we moved back in June (and the, even more, worry the past few days with my kiddos starting a new school!!)
But before I do...I gotta go to Michaels and buy some paint!!!
I’m all out, thanks to our move! But, luckily, I’ve already been able to get my rest (AKA...meditate!) on!! (see my last post!) #soneeded!!
Until next time...
Why do I hand letter uplifting words? Because it easily calms my mind, ignites my joy and slows me down so I can BE a more calm, happy + present mom (something that's hard to do when my mind is running five miles ahead or behind the present moment...especially during summer break!).
Creativity CALMs your mind, ignites your JOY and slows you down so you can SAVOR everything you LOVE in your life.
Who you are is what you love...SAVOR it!
